A remotely controllable gastric banding device (10) for placement around the stomach of a patient for the treatment of obesity. The device (10) comprises a gastric band (10) having an inflatable chamber (16) for adjusting the inner circumference of the band (10), a pressurized reservoir (20) with a valve (31) for providing fluid to inflate the inflation chamber (16), a valve (32) for releasing fluid from the inflatable chamber (16), and a controller (41) for controlling the valves (31, 32). Ledit dispositif (10) comprend une bande gastrique (10) présentant une chambre gonflable (16) permettant dajuster la circonférence intérieure de la bande (10), un réservoir sous pression (20) présentant une valve (31) permettant damener un fluide afin de gonfler la chambre de gonflage (16), une valve (32) permettant de libérer le fluide de la chambre gonflable (16) et un dispositif de commande (41) permettant de commander les valves (31, 32). Le dispositif de commande (41) peut être commandé à distance depuis lextérieur du patient.
