PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the diameter and length of a tip hard portion by preventing a light guide and a fixed board from interfering with each other.
SOLUTION: The endoscope lighting mechanism makes the emission end of the light guide F made up of a fiber bundle confront a lighting lens 21 to be mounted in a through-hole formed in the tip hard portion 1a, and comprises a fixed pipe 23 having a straight-linear passageway into which the light guide F is inserted and mounted in the through-hole directing axially by fixing the tip to the tip hard portion 1a and a guide pipe 24 into which the light guide F is inserted, and having the straight-linear passageway joined to the base end side of the fixed pipe 23. The joining end face of at least either of the fixed pipe 23 or the guide pipe 24 is diagonally cut.
