PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator for spraying a prescribed gas from a nozzle with the gas changed into mist while dissolving or mixing the gas in the liquid, wherein the supply condition of the liquid for dissolving or mixing the gas to the nozzle is detected.SOLUTION: The mist generator is provided with a liquid flow path 11 provided between a spray nozzle and a liquid introducing means and allowing the spray nozzle and the liquid introducing means to communicate with each other, a pair of electrodes 13, 14 provided in the liquid flow path, a voltage imparting means 7 for imparting voltage to a pair of the electrodes, a resistance measuring means 8 for measuring the resistance between a pair of the electrodes in a condition that the voltage is imparted to the electrodes by the voltage imparting means and a determination means 9 for determining the supply condition of the liquid W in the liquid flow path on the basis of the measured value of the resistance by the resistance measuring means.
