PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator easily installable in an intended indoor or outdoor and suitably usable while preventing failure as much as possible such as generation of large amount of water droplets due to contact of mist blown out to outside of a housing with other members and sections positioned around the housing.
SOLUTION: The mist generator MG includes: a liquid supply means 4 capable of supplying liquid to inside of the housing 1 and a rotor 2 for scattering liquid supplied to inside of the housing 1 to the periphery by centrifugal force to generate mist. The mist generator MG further includes a support member 3 installable in an intended section in a posture extended to the vertical height direction or vertically slant direction, having an upper part connected to a section below the mist blast nozzle 13 of the housing 1 and supporting the housing 1 from the lower side. At least part of each of the liquid supply means 4 and electric wiring 9 of a motor M is arranged along the support member 3 and below the mist blast nozzle 13.
