PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repel an intruded animal to outside of an engine room before an engine start so as to be prevented from being caught in a rotation body.SOLUTION: A control unit 12 monitors opening/closing of a door 4 of a vehicle 1 during a soak after an engine stop stopping a vehicle operation. When detecting opening of the door 4 before an engine start, the control unit operates a sound wave generator 11 and emits a sound wave in an engine room 3. When detecting at least closing of the door 4, the control unit stops the sound wave. Thereby, even when a small animal has intruded into the engine room during a soak after the vehicle operation, the small animal is threatened and startled before the engine start to be repelled to outside of the vehicle, a driver is prevented from starting the engine without noticing the small animal to prevent the small animal from being caught in a rotation body such as an auxiliary machine belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】エンジン始動前に侵入動物をエンジンルーム外に追い出し、侵入動物の回転体への巻き込みを防止する。【解決手段】制御ユニット12は、車両の運転が終了したエンジン停止後のソーク中に車両1のドア4の開閉を監視し、エンジン始動前にドア4が開かれたことを検知したとき、音波発生器11を作動させてエンジンルーム3内に音波を放射させ、少なくともドア4が閉じられたことを検知したとき、音波を停止させる。これにより、車両運転終了後のソーク中に小動物がエンジンルーム内に入り込んでも、エンジン始動前に小動物を威嚇して驚かせ、エンジンルームから車外に追い出すことができ、ドライバが小動物に気づかずエンジンを始動することを回避し、小動物を補機ベルト等の回転体に巻き込むことを防止することができる。【選択図】図1
