A bird deterrent member comprising a construction member which is a channel shaped metal member having an upright web and upper and lower flanges when erected in use, the lower flange being surmounted by an inclined bird proofing deterrent sheet, the upper edge of which is fastened to the web by a succession of punched and split portions through the web which co-act with the upper edge of the sheet to hold the upper edge, along its length, to the web.
