A holder is provided for supporting a device such as a syringe. In particular, the invention relates to a syringe holder and a mount for attachment to the holder to enable the holder to be mounted to an object or person. The mount may have a mount body C, a first attachment portion A which is rotatable relative to the mount and attaches the mount to the syringe, and a second attachment portion D comprising a releasable elongate member for attaching the mount to a device. Preferably the elongate member is a lanyard for use around a caregivers neck. A valve for sealing a syringe is also provided for use with the syringe and is situated in the syringe holder. The valve (B, see figure 4) has a body B3 which forms a seal against the inside of the syringe, an inner cavity in fluid communication the syringe body, a sealable opening B2d and a deformable portion B2, whereby in use deforming the valve may pressurise the inner cavity and hence force fluid out of the syringe.
