PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-functional environmental substance-treating agent, exhibiting disinfecting and deodorizing performances on being used for a human or an animal in addition to an antibacterial performance, a deodorizing performance, an antiviral performance and an antiallergen performance, having a high safety even on making a contact with a human body, and capable of maintaining such the performances for a long period of time.
SOLUTION: This environmental substance-treating agent consists of titanium oxide-based fine particles containing one kind or &getwo kinds of metal components selected from silver, copper, zinc, tin, cobalt, nickel and manganese by 1 to 20 wt.% range based on their oxides, and the titanium oxide-based fine particles are a mixture of crystalline titanium oxide fine particles having a 15 to 100 nm mean particle diameter and amorphous titanium oxide fine particles having 15 to 100 nm mean particle diameter. The ratio of mixing of the crystalline titanium oxide fine particles to the amorphous titanium oxide fine particles is in the range of (50/50) to (95/5).
