The present invention relates to a composition for curing hangover containing cinnamon and cinnamon stalk as an active ingredient. By containing an extract composed of cinnamon, cinnamon stalk, or a mixture thereof as the active ingredient, it is possible to suppress production of acetaldehyde causing side effects to human body by strongly inhibiting activities of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) or slightly or barely inhibiting activities of aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH).본 발명은 육계 및 육계나무의 엽병을 유효성분으로 함유하는 숙취 해소용 조성물에 관한 것으로 육계, 계피나무의 엽병 또는 이들의 혼합물을 함유하는 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유함으로써, 알코올 탈수소효소(alcohol dehydrogenase, ADH) 활성을 강하게 저해시키고 알데히드 탈수소효소(aldehyde dehydrogenase, ALDH) 활성을 약하게 저해시키거나 거의 저해시키지 않음으로써 인체에 부작용을 일으키는 아세트알데히드의 생성을 억제시킨다.
