The infusion pump (100) includes a housing (110). The housing includes a tubing port (150) adapted to receive a venous (“IV”) tubing (120). The tube port includes a tube channel (240) and a rib (280). The tube channel has an inlet end and an outlet end. The ribs are located along the channel adjacent the exit end. The ribs are formed such that when the tube is passed through the tube port, it extends toward the tube, thereby tending to lock the tube and prevent complete occlusion of the tube. The tube port may also include a plurality of ribs positioned around the circumference of the tube port on the outside of the housing.
