The invention is particularly directed to a method for cultivating algae, advantageously microalgae, characterized in that the particular conditions of the culture in terms of lighting and nutrients make it possible to obtain a biomass consisting of microalgae having at least a low chlorophyll amount, advantageously very low, or even zero and a high amount of antioxidants. La présente demande concerne le domaine de la culture des algues, particulièrement des microalgues. L'invention s'adresse particulièrement à un procédé de culture d'algues, avantageusement de microalgues, caractérisé en ce que les conditions particulières de la culture en termes d'éclairage et de nutriments permettent d'obtenir une biomasse constituée de microalgues présentant au moins une quantité en chlorophylle faible, avantageusement très faible, voire nulle et une quantité en agents antioxydants élevée.
