PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating cancer.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for treating a hematological cancer (e.g. multiple myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma) comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a histone deacetylase inhibitor, for example, a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor PXD-101.
