The invention provides a liquid aqueous pharmaceutical formulation comprising a human anti-TNFa antibody, or antigen-binding portion thereof, which reduces pain associated with injection in a subject by at least about 50% when compared to injecting an otherwise identical formulation comprising at least one salt and/or at least one buffer. The invention also provides a liquid aqueous pharmaceutical formulation comprising a human anti-TNFa antibody, or antigen-binding portion thereof, having increased bioavailability upon subcutaneous administration into a subject. The formulation may comprise a therapeutic protein, such as a human anti-TNF-alpha antibody, or an antigen-binding portion thereof, or a biosimilar thereof.本発明はヒト抗ＴＮＦα抗体又はその抗原結合部分を含有する水性液体医薬製剤として、少なくとも１種の塩及び／又は少なくとも１種の緩衝液を含有する点を除いてそれ以外は同一の製剤を注射する場合に比較して対象における注射に伴う痛みを少なくとも約５０％軽減する製剤を提供する。本発明は更にヒト抗ＴＮＦα抗体又はその抗原結合部分を含有する水性液体医薬製剤として、対象への皮下投与時の生体利用率の高い製剤も提供する。前記製剤はヒト抗ＴＮＦα抗体もしくはその抗原結合部分、又はそのバイオシミラー等の治療用蛋白質を含有することができる。
