To improve the operating reliability of the metering element and in particular the adjustment speed of the metering slide (18) while providing a compact design, the invention proposes that the drive of the metering slide (18) of the metering element comprises a threaded spindle (33) that is mounted in an axially fixed manner and is rotationally driven by means of a motor rotary drive having an axially fixed output shaft (44), along which threaded spindle a spindle nut (34) that engages with the threaded spindle (33) is guided, wherein the spindle nut (34) is connected to the metering slide (14, 18) or a lever arm (39) arranged thereon to actuate the metering slide (14, 18) by rotation of the threaded spindle (33).
