The flexible surgical instrument (10) comprises a flexible continuous body structure composed of a distal structural body (11), a proximal structural body (16) and a middle connecting body (15). The distal structural body (11) comprises distal structural segments (12, 13), the distal structural segments (12, 13) each comprising a distal spacer plate (121, 131), a distal fixed plate (122, 132) and a structural bone (123, 133). The proximal structural body (16) comprises proximal structural segments (17, 18), the proximal structural segments (17, 18) each comprising a proximal spacer plate (171, 181), a proximal fixed plate (172, 182) and a structural bone (173, 183). The middle connecting body (15) comprises a channel fixing plate (152) and a structural bone guiding channel (151). The driving unit (20) comprises a driving unit fixing plate (21). A plurality of linear motion mechanisms (22) are provided between the driving unit fixing plate (21) and the channel fixing plate (152) close to the proximal structural body (16), with output ends of the linear motion mechanisms (22) being fixedly connected to a first driving bone (211). One end of the first driving bone (211) is fixedly connected to one end of a second driving bone (212) through an adapter unit (23), and the other end of the first driving bone (211) and of the second driving bone (212) pass through the proximal spacer plates (171, 181), and are then fixedly connected to the proximal fixed plates (172, 182).
