PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for determining an ordinal scale indicating a recovery process on walking for motor paralysis of a stroke patient from an objective measurement.SOLUTION: A walking evaluation device 1 includes: right and left accelerometers 10 attached to right and left lumbar side parts of a subject for measuring acceleration in the advancing direction of the subject； a frequency analyzer 14 for frequency-analyzing the output of the right and left accelerometers 10； and a controller 16 for reading out components of right and left walking pace fundamental frequencies acquired from the right and left accelerometers 10 from the output of the frequency analyzer 14 as PSDR1 and PSDL1 respectively, reading out the frequency components of half of the right and left walking pace fundamental frequencies as PSDR0.5 and PSDL0.5 respectively, calculating the ratio of PSDR0.5 to PSDR1 as PRR, and calculating the ratio of PSDL0.5 to PSDL1 as PRL, calculating the average of the right and left PRR and PRL as PRav, and converting the PRav to a walking state value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】脳卒中患者の運動麻痺に対する歩行の回復過程を表す順序尺度を、客観的な測定から決定する装置および方法を提供する。【解決手段】被験者の左右の腰側部に取り付け、被験者の進行方向への加速度を計測する左右の加速度計１０と、左右の加速度計１０の出力を周波数分析する周波数分析器１４と、周波数分析器１４の出力から左右の加速度計１０から得た左右の歩調基本周波数の成分をそれぞれＰＳＤＬ１およびＰＳＤＲ１として読み出し、左右の歩調基本周波数の１／２の周波数成分をそれぞれＰＳＤＬ０．５およびＰＳＤＲ０．５として読み出し、ＰＳＤＬ０．５とＰＳＤＬ１の比をＰＲＬとして算出し、ＰＳＤＲ０．５とＰＳＤＲ１の比をＰＲＲとして算出し、左右のＰＲＬとＰＲＲの平均をＰＲａｖとして算出し、ＰＲａｖから歩行状態値に変換する制御器１６とを有することを特徴とする歩行評価装置１。【選択図】図１
