The present invention relates to a novel bacteriophage CF1 which has specific bactericidal activity agains Citrobacter freundii； a pharmaceutical composition, an antibiotic composition, a feed additive composition, feedstuff, a disinfectant agent or a cleaning agent, all of which comprise the bacteriophage for preventing or treating an infectious disease due to Citrobacter freundii； and a method for preventing or treating an infectious disease caused by Citrobacter freundii, which comprises a step of administering the bacteriophage to a subject. The method for preventing or treating an infectious disease caused by Citrobacter freundii by using the bacteriophage CF1 of the present invention has an extremely high specificity to Citrobacter freundii compared to existing chemicals such as antibiotics, and the bacteriophage CF1 transfects Citrobacter freundii and propagates 100 times or more inside Citrobacter freundii, and thus shows excellent lysis activity and high resistance to mechanochemical stress. Also, the bacteriophage CF1 of the present invention does not transfect hosts other than bacteria, such as humans, animals, and plants, and thus has the advantage of resolving the problems associated with antibiotic-resistant bacteria due to overuse and abuse of antibiotic agents； antibiotic agents remaining in foods； and a broad host range.
