The present invention discloses an application of Antrodia cinnamomea in prevention and treatment of hypertropic cardiomyopathy and myocardial fibrosis. One embodiment of the present invention is an application of an extract of Antrodia cinnamomea or the fruiting body of Antrodia cinnamomea as one of the followings: (A) manufacturing a product for preventing and/or treating hypertropic cardiomyopathy and/or myocardial fibrosis; (B) preventing and/or treating hypertropic cardiomyopathy and/or myocardial fibrosis. Antrodia cinnamomea can effectively suppress the increase in a heart-to-body weight ratio and a heart-weight-to-tibia-length ratio of an organism body caused by hypertropic cardiomyopathy, and suppress the increase in ANF gene expression in myocardial tissue, such that the increase in myocardial collagen volume fraction of the organism body caused by myocardial fibrosis and the increase in myocardial fibrosis marker gene expression of collagen 1, collagen 3 in myocardial tissue can be effectively suppressed as well.
