PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid ejection device system that reduces the burden of an operator associated with initial filling work or air-bubble discharge work of a fluid ejection device, and a medical apparatus.SOLUTION: A fluid ejection device system includes: a fluid ejecting unit 100 configured to eject fluid from a nozzle 124 a fluid supplying unit 200 connected with the fluid ejecting unit 100 by a connection tube 212 and configured to supply the fluid to a fluid chamber 112 a control unit 400 configured to control operation of the fluid ejecting unit 100 and the fluid supplying unit 200 and a stand 500 configured to hold at least a unit of the fluid ejecting unit 100. The fluid ejecting unit 100 has a held-state detecting unit SW1 that detects that it is in a held state of being held by the stand 500.
