Two stubs (not shown) extend from lower jaw 2 and are capped with primary crowns 4, 6 which are arranged to be releasably engaged with respective secondary crowns 8, 10 provided in a telescopic denture. Methods of making the telescopic denture 12 and other components of the apparatus are also described.
