Disclosed are a walking assistance method, and an apparatuses for conducting the same, intended to provide a technology to assist a user to walk in a desired way when walking. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the walking assistance method comprises the following steps: detecting a point of time when a foot of the user lands； and initiating walking assistance based on a first joint position on legs of the user detected at the moment of landing as well as a second joint position detected after the moment of landing.보행 보조 방법 및 이를 수행하는 장치들이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 보행 보조 방법은 사용자 발의 착지 시점을 검출하는 단계와, 상기 착지 시점에서 감지되는 상기 사용자의 다리의 제1 관절 위치와 상기 착지 시점이 지난 후 감지되는 제2 관절 위치에 기초하여 보행 보조를 시작하는(initiating) 단계를 포함한다.
