PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-inflammatory agent which has an excellent efficacy of suppressing the production of inflammatory cytokine, can ameliorate excessive inflammation in organisms, and is useful for prevention and treatment of connective tissue disease, allergic disease, metabolic disease, infectious disease, and the like； and to provide foods and drinks and feed containing the anti-inflammatory agent.SOLUTION: An anti-inflammatory agent is characterized by containing Lactadherin and/or a decomposition product obtained by treating Lactadherin with protease, as an active ingredient. The anti-inflammatory agent of the invention can be manufactured simply and economically owing to using mammalian milk as a raw material, and can be ingested daily and safely.【課題】炎症性サイトカインの産生を抑制する効果に優れ、生体における過剰な炎症を改善し、膠原病やアレルギー疾患、代謝性疾患、感染症などの予防や治療に有用である抗炎症剤、及び該抗炎症剤を含有する飲食品、飼料を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】ラクトアドヘリン及び／またはラクトアドヘリンをタンパク質分解酵素で処理した分解物を有効成分として含有することを特徴とする抗炎症剤。本発明の抗炎症剤は、哺乳類の乳を原料としているため、簡便且つ経済的に製造することができ、日常的に安全に摂取することが可能である。【選択図】なし
