PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panty type absorbent article capable of safely protecting a discarding member up to the use time thereof, capable of simply taking out the same by operation for detaching the panty type absorbent article from a wearer to use the same and capable of also preventing the skin trouble caused by the contact of the discarding member with the skin.SOLUTION: The panty type absorbent article 1 includes an abdominal part A positioned on an abdominal side, a back part B positioned on a back side and a pair of side seal parts 8 and 8 where the abdominal part A and the back part B are joined. Each of the back part B and the abdominal part A comprises a plurality of sheet members 61, 62 and 62a and the discarding member 10 is arranged between the sheet members 61 and 62 in the vicinity of the side seal parts 8 and 8 while at least a part of a discarding tape 10 is fixed to the sheet members 61 and 62.
