PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resolution of a reconstructed image by correcting reflectance loss at the interface of an object and a probe in photoacoustic tomography.SOLUTION: An object information acquiring apparatus includes the probe for receiving, as a received signal, an acoustic wave which is generated within the object irradiated with light and propagates on an object surface, and a processor for generating object information, which is information based on an internal optical characteristic value of the object, by using intensity of the received signal. The processor corrects the intensity of the received signal by using the reflectance upon the acoustic wave entering the probe which is calculated based on the angle of the acoustic wave entering the probe, and on the acoustic impedance and acoustic velocity of the object and the probe.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】光音響トモグラフィーにおいて、被検体と探触子の界面における反射損失を補正することで、再構成画像の解像度を改善する。【解決手段】光を照射された被検体内部で発生して被検体表面に伝搬する音響波を受信して受信信号とする探触子と、受信信号の強度を用いて被検体内部の光学特性値に基づく情報である被検体情報を生成する処理部を有し、処理部は、探触子に音響波が入射する角度、ならびに、被検体および探触子の音響インピーダンスおよび音速を用いて計算された、探触子に音響波が入射するときの反射率を用いて、受信信号の強度を補正する被検体情報取得装置を用いる。【選択図】図1
