PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snare for an endoscope which can reliably and easily fix a snare wire to a lesion part.SOLUTION: A snare for an endoscope is provided with: a flexible tube an operation wire inserted in the flexible tube a loop-shaped snare wire jointed to the distal end of the operation wire and an operation part for protruding and retreating the snare wire from the distal end of the flexible tube by moving the operation wire back and forth in the flexible tube in the axial direction. The snare wire is provided with at least one pawl member which extends in a direction orthogonal to a flat surface surrounded by the loop of the snare wire.
