The present disclosure provides a sterile vial puncture and sterilization system and method for assembling, using and sterilizing it. The system and method include a first end, a first cavity, a second end with an opening in communication with the first cavity, a septum that at least partially seals the opening, and a product in the first cavity. Use primary container before sterilization. The system and method includes an injection assembly that includes a first end portion of a hollow flow path forming member. The infusion assembly and primary container can be assembled in a non-sterile environment to form a second cavity that extends around the first end portion of the flow path forming member and to the primary container.
