To provide a water tank that can beautifully express the beauty of an aquarium using a waterweed or driftwood in the water tank.SOLUTION: A water tank includes: a body part 10 having a containing space 10h when water can be contained, formed of a translucent raw material and having an opening in the upper part； a base part 30 for placing the body part 10； and an upper member 20 capable of being put on the upper part of the body part 10. In the water tank, the body part 10 is formed in a shape of a triangular cross-section, and a lighting part for lighting the containing space 10h of the body part 10 in the upper member 20 and the base part 30. If the lighting part is turned on while water is put in the containing space 10h of the body part 10 of the water tank, the inside of the containing space 10h can be lighted up from both of the upper part and the lower part, and thereby the shadow in the containing space 10h can be reduced in comparison with a conventional lighting method.
