PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device which efficiently diffuses ions into a living space utilizing wind generated by an air blower, such as an air conditioner, installed on a wall or the like without modifying the air blower.SOLUTION: An ion generating device includes in a casing 3 having an inlet 4 allowing the inflow of air and outlets 51 and 52 allowing the outflow of air, an air passage 7 connecting the inlet 4 and the outlets 51 and 52, and an ion generator 2 for discharging ions into the air passage 7. The casing 3 has, on an outer surface thereof, an inclined air guide surface 34 and a mounting surface 31a forming an acute angle with the air guide surface 34. The inlet 4 is provided in the air guide surface 34 on a side having a shorter distance from the mounting surface 31a, and the first outlet 51 is provided in the air guide surface 34 on a side having a longer distance from the mounting surface 31a. Furthermore, the second outlet 52 is provided in a portion of the casing extending from an end of the air guide surface 34 to the mounting surface 31a, and inside the air passage 7 a guide part 6 is provided for guiding a part of air flowing from the inlet 4 toward the second outlet 52 to the first outlet 52.
