PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low calorie jerky-like snack for dogs with high preference, and to provide a method for producing the snack.
SOLUTION: This low calorie jerky-like snack for dogs is obtained by molding and heating dough which contains 100 pts.mass of a mixture of dietary fiber and grain flour and/or starch, 3-9 pts.mass of curdlan, 3-12 pts.mass of psyllium seed gum, and 0.1-1.2 pts.mass of guar gum, and drying the product. The method for producing the snack is also provided.
