The invention relates to a sanitary pad containing a tubular cellulose structure mouldable to the shape of the body and having a straight and longitudinal opening in the upper central portion of the tubular cellulose, the opening coinciding along its entire length with the openings in the outer protective netting. These openings are aligned in a straight and longitudinal line in the central part in contact with the vaginal labia. The cellulose is shaped into tubes with open ends which coincide inside the pad with the two longitudinal ends of the pad, allowing the pad to be effectively moulded to the shape of the area between the legs, thus preventing the constriction of the pad and the reduction in its storage capacity.
