PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule endoscope capable of three-dimensional photography permitting easy confirmation of the unevenness.
SOLUTION: An imaging part 30 of the capsule endoscope comprises an imaging element 34 for imaging a subject a driving/sampling part (indication is omitted in the figure) for driving the imaging element 34 and an imaging optical system 36 for forming the image of the subject in the imaging area of the imaging element 34. The imaging part 30 is mounted inside a body in such a way as rotatable around a predetermined rotation axis L. The imaging element 34 is disposed at a position displaced from the rotation axis L so that the imaging element 34 is rotated around the rotation axis L according to the rotation. The rotation of the imaging part 30 by a motor 40 to rotate/drive the imaging part 30 around the rotation axis L and the imaging operation of the imaging element 34 by the driving/sampling part are controlled by a control part 12.
