A draper seal for a crop harvesting header, the header comprising a forwardlydisposed cutter barassembly and a rearwardly disposed draper deck assembly. The draper sealcomprises a flexiblestrip that runs parallel to the cutter bar assembly and perpendicular to thedirection of travel. Abracket secures the forward edge of the flexible strip to an upper surface ofthe cutter barassembly, which bracket also biases a rearward edge of the flexible strip intoengagement withan upper surface of the draper deck assembly, thereby creating a seal betweenthe cutter barassembly and the draper deck assembly.
