PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray apparatus capable of quickly moving a subject to an accurate position for roentgenography without making an impact thereon when a top board on which the subject is placed, is moved manually by an operator.SOLUTION: An X-ray apparatus 100 includes: an X-ray tube 2 applying an X ray to a subject 10 an FPD 3 for detecting the X ray transmitting through the subject 10 a top board 1 on which the subject 10 is placed a support part 4 for horizontally-movably supporting the top board 1 a movement regulation part 41 regulating movement of the top board 1 with respect to the support part 4 and a control part 5 controlling the movement regulation part 41 to regulate the movement of the top board 1 with respect to the support part 4.
