PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively and easily treating livestock bone residue for reusing the livestock bone residue after extracting essence from livestock bone material without waste.
SOLUTION: The method for treating livestock bone residue after extracting essence from livestock bone material containing meat and bones includes: a drying process for drying the livestock bone residue at a temperature ranging from 120°C to 200°C a separation process for separating the dried livestock bone residue into a meat part and a bone part a pulverizing process for pulverizing the meat part to make it a meat processed product and/or a firing process for pulverizing the bone part and firing the pulverized bone part in air flow at a temperature ranging from 300°C to 1,000°C to make it hydroxyapatite-containing powdered material.
