An orthopaedic prosthesis (10) includes a tibial bearing (12), a femoral component (14), and a hinge post (16) coupled to the tibial bearing and the femoral component. The hinge post includes medial (38) and lateral (40) axles. A pair of bushings (42,44) are coupled to the axles and received in an internal chamber (60) of the femoral component. The prosthesis may also include a plug (80) received in the internal chamber and positioned to secure the hinge post to the femoral component. The femoral component is configured to rotate about an axis defined by the axles. The femoral component may include a housing (160) and a patella bearing (162) separate from the housing.
