A method of removing hair from skin, preferably facial skin, is provided, comprising the steps of: (a) applying a depilatory composition to an area of skin on which unwanted hair is growing, the depilatory composition comprising a keratin reducing agent； (b) subsequently applying a layer of liquid or semi-solid occlusive material to cover the depilatory composition, the liquid or semi-solid occlusive material comprising hydrophobic material.
