PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating or preventing respiratory conditions, for treating IgE mediated respiratory allergy, for reducing allergic response to respiratory allergens, for inducing anergy to respiratory allergens, improving lung function in subjects suffering from allergy.SOLUTION: The disclosed method comprises administration of a cell population enriched for STRO-1+ cells, progeny thereof, or a soluble factor derived therefrom to a subject.
