The present invention relates generally to a therapeutic protocol to induce placenta cell death when required in the treatment of an adverse gynecological condition. The therapeutic protocol is applicable inter alia to the treatment of ectopic pregnancy including unruptured ectopic pregnancy and placenta tumors such as a hydatidiform molar pregnancy or choriocarcinoma.
