PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a covered food by which a crust material can be folded at the right angle, and an included material can be covered without causing voids between the included material and the crust material, and to provide an apparatus therefor.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the covered food obtained by covering the included material with the crust material is equipped with a crust material-feeding means 5 for feeding the sheet-shaped long crust material 3, an included material-feeding means 37 for feeding and putting the included material 25 on the crust material 3, a cutting means 57 for cutting the crust material 3 into the polygonal sheet-shaped crust material 3, a water-imparting means 59 for imparting water to the vicinities of a plurality of corners to be stuck of the crust material 3 in order to carrying out adhesion of overlapped parts when folding the crust material 3, a stamper 41 for forming grooves 39 for folding at the folding parts of the crust material 3, and a crust material-folding means 27 for serially folding the crust material 3 along the folding grooves 39 formed on the crust material 3 to cover the included material 25.
