The step count correcting apparatus (103), upon receiving the measurement result information, identifies from the relay device (102) that relayed the received measurement result information, the area where the livestock animal (A) is pastured. The step count correcting apparatus (103), upon identifying the area where the livestock animal (A) is pastured, uses an average correction value and/or vegetation and plant correction value specific to the identified area, to correct the measured step count of the livestock animal (A).
