This stent is to be disposed within a blood vessel and is provided with a tubular body comprising a mesh member. The mesh member comprises linear bodies made of a metal. In a cross section of a linear body which forms a portion crossing the axial direction of the tubular body from among the linear bodies, the circumferential edge thereof includes a first intersection and a second intersection which cross a segment corresponding to the maximum width of the linear body, and a third intersection which crosses a segment corresponding to the maximum thickness of the linear body. The first intersection is located on the upstream side of the blood flow within the blood vessel, the second intersection is located on the downstream side of the blood flow within the blood vessel, and the third intersection is located on the inner peripheral side of the tubular body. The first angle formed between the segment connecting the first intersection and the third intersection and the segment corresponding to the maximum width is acute. The second angle formed between the segment connecting the second intersection and the third intersection and the segment corresponding to the maximum width is acute.
