PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of a tending machine including an axle driving type tillage device.SOLUTION: A tending machine includes: an engine 3 serving as a power source mounted on a machine body comprising a machine body frame 2 and a transmission case 4 or the like a tillage device 10 serving also as a travel device driven by the engine 3 an operation handle 8 extended to a rear part of the machine body and a resistance device 40 arranged in a rear part of the tillage device 10 and exerting resistance force to a forward motion of the machine body by being plunged into a soil. The resistance device includes in a travel direction of the machine body at least a first resistance rod 41 and a second resistance rod 42.
