PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eye protector, inhibiting illumination to the eye with harmful light beam and spectrum and simultaneously inhibiting generation of heat in an important component of the protector and damage of the concerned component.SOLUTION: This eye protector for retina in an operative microscope includes: an illumination beam path that defines an illuminated field for an object plane and an optical element 4 disposed in the illumination beam path.
