PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and materials for decellularizing an organ or portion thereof and recellularizing such a decellularized organ or portion thereof to thereby generate an organ or portion thereof.SOLUTION: A method for decellularization and recellularization of organs and tissues and an administration method therefor include a decellularized extracellular matrix including an exterior surface. The extracellular matrix, including the vascular tree, substantially retains the morphology of the extracellular matrix prior to decellularization.
