Provided are triazolopyridine derivative compounds of the general formula (I), wherein the variables are as defined in the specification. Examples of the compounds include N,N-diethyl-4-{ [6-(4-{ [(4-fluorophenyl)acetyl]amino} pheny1)[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-2-yl]amino} -3-methoxybenzamide and N-( 4-fluorobenzyl)-4-(2-{ [4-(hydroxymethyl)-2-methoxyphenyl]amino} [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-6-yl)benzamide. The compounds are inhibitors of monopolar spindle 1 (Mps-1) kinase also known as tyrosine threonine kinase (TTK). The compounds may be useful in the treatment of cancer.
