<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To swiftly infiltrate moisture absorbed in a front surface sheet without impairing the softness of an absorbent article using a cotton nonwoven fabric for the front surface sheet to provide the soft touch. <;P>;SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 has an absorber 4 interposed between the front surface sheet 3 and a liquid-impermeable rear surface sheet 2. The front surface sheet 3 is composed of the cotton nonwoven fabric, and a thermal adhesive fiber sheet 6, whose fiber density is lower than that of the cotton nonwoven fabric and which has hydrophilicity, is interposed between the lower layer of the front surface sheet 3 and the absorber 4. The absorbent article in this laminated state is heat-sealed and embossed from the front surface side to form a number of embossed patterns 7. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
