PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ankle joint supporter improving stability of the ankle joint of a wearer to assist motion of the wearer when she (he) works while having a heavy baggage.
SOLUTION: The ankle joint supporter includes: a primary anchor part 2 going around parts corresponding to the shin bone and the calf bone in the vicinity of the heel to tightly attach a cylindrical knit fabric to the lower thigh of the wearer a secondary anchor part 3 going around a part corresponding to the metatarsal in the vicinity of the metatarso phalangeal joint to tightly attach the cylindrical knit fabric to the instep and the sole and a primary support part 4 connected to the primary anchor part 2, passing from parts corresponding to the outside surfaces of the shin bone and the calf bone to parts corresponding to the inner heel and the outer heel respectively to be in a line at the part corresponding to the sole. In the supporter, the stretch resistance of the primary anchor part 2 and the secondary anchor part 3 in the peripheral direction of the cylindrical knit fabric is stronger than the stretch resistance of a base fabric 1 in the peripheral direction of the cylindrical knit fabric, and the stretch resistance of the primary support part 4 in the length direction of the cylindrical knit fabric is stronger than the stretch resistance of the base fabric 1 in the length direction of the cylindrical knit fabric.
