PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule-type endoscope having no necessity for mounting a starting switch on the mounting surface of a wiring board, achieved in the reduction of the wiring board, and also achieved in further size reduction.SOLUTION: The capsule-type endoscope 10 comprises a columnar battery 13 accommodated in a capsule case 11 which forms a capsule outer shell, and an electrode terminal 14 which is deformed so as to contact with a one-end side end-face electrode 43 in a direction along a battery axial line 42 of the battery 13 by being applied with a magnetic force of an external magnet arranged outside a body to be inspected, and composed of a conductive metal spring material.
