PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for forming a rice ball with which a rice ball soft and hardly coming apart is formed.SOLUTION: The device for forming a rice ball includes: a transfer conveyor 16 which transfers a rectangular sheet-like boiled rice R an interfolding plate unit 17 which interfolds the rectangular sheet-like boiled rice R transferred by the transfer conveyor 16 so that both sides of the sheet-like boiled rice are joined with each other to form a mating part a molding table 18 as a rotary body provided with a molding hole 22 where the boiled rice R interfolded by the interfolding plate unit 17 downward from above is put a put-in unit 23 which puts the boiled rice R into the molding hole 22 so that the mating part interfolded by the interfolding plate unit 17 faces upward a compression mold 19 which longitudinally compresses the boiled rice R put into the molding hole 22 to make a rice ball and a taking-out mold 20 which takes the molded rice ball out of the molding hole 22.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】柔らかく崩れにくいおにぎりを成形する。【解決手段】矩形シート状の米飯Rを搬送する搬送コンベア16と、搬送コンベア16に搬送された矩形シート状の米飯Rの両側が相互に接合して合わせ部位を形成するように折り込む折込板ユニット17と、折込板ユニット17により折り込まれた米飯Rが上方から下方へと挿入される成形孔22が形成された回転体である成形テーブル18と、折込板ユニット17によって折り込まれた合わせ部位が上方を向くようにして米飯Rを成形孔22に挿入する挿入ユニット23と、成形孔22に挿入された米飯Rを上下方向に圧縮しておにぎりを成形する圧縮型19と、成形されたおにぎりを成形孔22から取り出す取出型20とを有する装置である。【選択図】図3
