What is proposed is a patient table for an ideal alignment of the body parts to be imaged of a subject in an NMR tube or CT tube, wherein the patient table (1) is insertable into the tube in the axial direction, wherein there is a bridge (2), which is supported on the longitudinal edges of the patient table (1) at mutually opposite points, the external dimensions of the bridge (2) in the radial direction are selected to be smaller than the clear diameter of the tube, there is a belt, which is fastened to the bridge (2) with one end thereof, guided under the patient and back to the bridge (2), and the belt is tensible and affixable in the axial direction.
